What goes in must come out

This of course refers to the two small pieces of plastic fork that Trey ate this weekend. He was chowing down on some chicken nuggets and apparently bit too hard. He may not even have noticed, except that I heard the fork snap in his mouth and immediately reached a finger in to retrieve the pieces.

That didn't work, and after the parental panic wore off and we got Trey to drink some juice, Brandon cracked up and then so did Trey. Nice.

Kids do these things, I know. Trey has eaten organics before - bugs, dirt, etc. But always biodegradable things. He may not have noticed the plastic going down, but I cringe to imagine what it will feel like coming out.

What is the strangest thing your kids have eaten?

Cana came into our room a few months ago, in the middle of the night, and told us that she had swallowed a little plastic ring. We went for 2 days, waiting (and searching)...and we never found the ring. Then, as the story progressed, Cana realized that it had all been a dream...and she found her ring sitting on the shelf right next to her bed. A sigh of relief for everyone.

A little girl we know swallowed a penny. It came out a few days later, looking all shiny and new. Yucky.

Ella (Jeremiah and Jenn) swallowed a dime, and they were able to find that a few days later as well.

No problems arose with either of these two kiddos.

Let us know how it all...comes out ;)
