Baby update

This morning was our 24-week checkup, even though I'm almost 26 weeks along. The doctor had called for another ultrasound to follow up on an issue they noticed at our last appointment. My placenta was low-lying, and while they said this is supposed to correct itself 90% of the time, it was still low today.

Which means...at least for now, don't exert myself too much (ha!!) and be happy about all the extra ultrasounds we get to have!

Baby Dolphin is ahead of the curve in his growth (shocker!), super-duper active, and most definitely still a boy. He is breech right now, which I could have told you since he has been riverdancing on my bladder lately. And he has no hair at this point. This is odd to me. The other three of us have very thick hair, and tons of it. Oh well, guess that could still change.

Will someone please tell me why I don't remember being this big with Trey, and still with three months to go?? I am huge. I feel like an overstuffed marshmallow peep. It was a shock today when they weighed me and I have only gained 8 pounds. Seriously, this is crazy. The warm weather needs to arrive soon, because I'm not sure of how much longer I'll be able to wear socks. I can't reach my toes!

I do remember, near the end of my pregnancy with Trey, Brandon offering to bring home one of those library carts from school, so I could put my belly on it and wheel it around in front of me. (Insert squeaky wheel sound effect.) At the time it was funny. Not so much now, as I can't rule out that I'll actually need it this time.

Ah, the joys of pregnancy. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Love you Baby Dolphin!

I'm right there with you! I had to sit in the recliner the other night to eat spaghetti with the bowl propped up on my belly, because I couldn't bend over enough to eat it from the table because my stomach was so big it kept getting in the way!

Aww!! Ash, I asked him if ya'll had decided on names or thought of any... My crazy sister is at about 16 weeks and since day one has said "his name is Tyler". How she knew it was a boy is beyond me and why she would name him something so close to her daughter's name "Taylor" is also beyond me....
