A monkey for Thanksgiving Eve

The climbing has kicked into high gear lately. This week, Trey managed to climb onto his Nana and Granddad's couch all by himself. Then tonight Trey found another fun activity for when his crib mattress is on the floor - not only can he climb on the mattress, he can also climb on the crib!

And to round out his transformation to monkey, Trey insisted on a "nama" right before bed. It took me quite a while to figure out what that meant. He repeated "nama" several times and pointed toward the kitchen counter. Finally I lifted him up, he grabbed a banana, held it up to me and said, "nama", very slowly. Yes, it's sometimes hard for a grown-up to learn new things!

As tomorrow so many of us will gather with those we love, this family wishes yours a very happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for, not the least of which is our little monkey Trey. Our families, friends, health, home, good jobs... But most of all we are thankful for our Lord Jesus Christ and His incredible love. May every day be Thanksgiving day.

Haha! Ellie's first word for banana was "bane". It took me three or four days to figure that one out.

Happy Thanksgiving!
