Six months
Oh, that smile.
Aden is six months old today. Half a year. Where did it go??
This little man is just wonderful. Still big. Doctor visit yielded 19 pounds 4 ounces, 26 1/2 inches long. Big ol' boy.
Everyone keeps saying, "linebacker, linebacker". But for Mama, football is a spectator sport. So I answer, "relief pitcher, relief pitcher".
We love every square inch of Aden.
Little man is now more a chatterbox than ever. Started saying "da da", "ba ba", and "guh guh". Brandon is of course thrilled with the "da da". Trey thinks the talking is funny, which makes Aden very proud.
He is rotten. Mama's boy for sure. Yet again, I am a thorn in the flesh of those precious nursery workers at church. He cries, they call me, I come in and position him across my pillow and shelf (use your imagination), bounce for two minutes, and he's asleep. They roll their eyes at me.
Just in the last few days, has started sitting by himself some. It's a tough thing to coordinate, because when he gets happy, he kicks his feet, loses his balance and falls over. And when he needs to chew on his hands he just sort of inches forward until he's resting on his belly. And if he decides he needs to grab his feet he topples over like a weeble. And if he wants to turn around and look at whoever is sitting behind him, he whiplashes his head around and falls backwards. The whole thing is pretty funny.
But buddy, if something can distract him, like Trey playing nearby, Aden can most definitely sit on his own.
Oh, those eyes.
He likes noise. Loves, loves, loves to hear his Daddy play guitar. Loves for Trey to
His idea of playing with a toy or rattle, besides doling out a generous coating of drool, is to repeatedly bang the object as hard as possible against whatever surface is nearby.
He has gone mobile. Can roll clear across the room in seconds.
With the dry heat, his eczema is returning. Drat. Wish that triple cream was not so expensive.
Made it to two days shy of the six-month mark before getting sick for the first time. He made it convenient for us, though, getting sick the day before his scheduled checkup. Result: ear infection and bad sinus drainage that we're praying doesn't settle in his lungs. To hear this kid cough is painful. Painful.
Please feel better soon little one.
Likes the Christmas lights. Likes the TV. Sleeps flat on his back, minimum 10 hours through the night. Snores, as you know. Cries from 6PM until his pre-bedtime catnap. Gets 4 jars of food and 5 bottles a day. Can now pick up toys and transfer them from hand to hand. Then bang them. Smile lights up a room.
Aden Levi, the past six months have been the best yet. You are such a blessing!!

Maybe try lanolin for his eczema. It works great. I use a liquid kind, not the lanosil cream. A little bit goes a long way, so one bottle can last you a long time.
