Mr. Aden
So, chalk it up to second child syndrome or momnesia. I forgot to post a one month update on Aden, aside from his height and weight. I guess then this is the one month-one week-and a few days update for Aden Levi. Sorry kiddo.
Aden is a great baby. He is pretty laid back and thrives in the noisiest, craziest conditions. A quiet, dark room is not his favorite place to be. Praise the Lord for that, because when Trey is around and conscious, there is no such thing as quiet.
He is soothed by loud sounds - stomping through the house, Daddy playing the piano, Trey singing, the vacuum. Also, he seems to like kitchen noises - the mixer, pressure cooker, dishwasher, banging dishes. He will just sit, wide awake, staring off into space and listening to whatever he can hear.
Aden looooves bathtime. He didn't enjoy his first baths too much, but once that cord came off and he could be submerged, he was one happy boy in the water. It's so much fun.
Aden is starting to spend more time awake during the day, and occasionally during the night. We think he may be a night owl, or else he just really likes spending time with his Dad in the middle of the night.
He started cooing a little before the one-month mark, and that has increased some. He has the sweetest little voice. Of course sometimes when he feels ignored, Aden will gently remind us that he is there by emitting a short, loud squawk. It's pretty funny.
He has three distinct cries. The pouty, whimpery cry (see lip photo below) is for when his diaper is full or he is mildly irritated at not being held. The angry, growl cry is for when he is hungry. The devastated, deafening, chin-quivering cry is for when he absolutely must be held. Not hard to tell the cries apart. He'll let you know what's wrong.
Aden loves laying on his changing table. He enjoys looking at and talking to the doggies on the wall. I remembered the other day that I never posted any pictures of his room, so here they are.

The boy is his Mama all over. And he has my faces down pat too. The trademark scowl. The confused single-eyebrow-raise. The pout.

And the smiles. He is so beautiful.

You are such a blessing, Aden. Your family is totally over the moon in love with you!
