Growing boys
We took the boys to the doctor for checkups on Tuesday - Trey for his three-year visit and Aden for his one-month visit. And may I say that taking two kids for one appointment was quite an experience! God bless those patient pediatricians.
Aden
Head circumference: 15 1/8" (50th percentile)
Height: 21 1/2" (50th percentile)
Weight: 10 lb 1 oz (50-75th percentile)
I looked back and Aden weighs almost as much as Trey did at his one-month visit. But Trey was a pound and a half heavier at birth. So Aden is bulking up fast! As well he should, the kid eats like a horse.
Aden got a great report from the doctor. The only small issues are some dry skin and a clogged tear duct. We get to start tummy time (yay, sense the sarcasm). And we get to look forward to more and more smiles in the coming month.
Trey
Height: 38 1/2" (75th percentile)
Weight: 36 pounds (90th percentile)
Look at that weight. And it's not like he's chubby - Trey has no fat on his body. He is just plain solid!
Praise the Lord, we were able to tell the doctor that Trey hasn't had an asthma attack since February. We are to take him off his Singulair for a month, but still keep the inhaler with him. And we'll see what happens. How we have prayed that he will outgrow this!
Trey got a good report too, and was very brave, at least until he had to get a shot. That was a different story, and he milked it for all it was worth, hobbling around the house like his leg was broken. Drama!
