Where we goin?
Oh, if only we had a dollar for every time that question came out of Trey's mouth over the last few days.
With Brandon on spring break last week, we took off for a long weekend in Williamsburg, our first and last vacation for just the three of us. Trey entertained us throughout the whole trip by asking this question, on average, once every 20 seconds or so.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and went for a "walk around the neighborhood", as Trey put it. No money spent for tours, but it was so nice to walk the streets of colonial Williamsburg. So simple, so peaceful, so old. I absolutely love that place.

Trey was not the world's happiest stroller-rider, so we found a big field he could run around in. When later asked what he saw while walking "around the neighborhood", the only thing he mentioned was "horse poop".

For a special treat on Thursday night, since she was only a short drive away, Whitney came up to have dinner with us. Trey was sooooo happy to see his Nene. After dinner, they played football until it was too dark to see anymore.

Friday morning was spent at the outlet malls. Mama found some great deals. (Hello, 67% off Bass shoes! I'm so stinkin happy.) We got Trey some much-needed summer jammies and church shoes, and Daddy soaked up the glory of the Nike outlet.
Trey is not the shopper he once was. In fact, on this trip, he very much showed his age. He has always been a little spoiled, but lately he has been very insistent on his way. The shopping trip was one of those times. One of the many recent times. Sigh.
Then on Friday afternoon, in attempt to soothe the savage beast, we took Trey to a playground. Never fails to make the boy smile.

Headed home Saturday after a big vacation breakfast, and even after such a short trip, it was great to be home. Stress-free-ish, relaxed, somewhat ready for the big life change coming our way in just two months.
Two months. Oh boy.
