Twice upon a fair
I'm late getting around to this post. And I can only but hope that clicking publish will at last cleanse my mind of what has been replaying itself through my head for the last ten days.
It's a favorite childhood story, Charlotte's Web. Hence Templeton's song and the fact that whenever anyone uses the word terrific around me, my inner voice immediately chants, "T, double-E, double-R, double-R, double-I, double-F, double-I, double-C-C-C."
Yep, toss that on top of a paralyzing fear of spiders and it's one of the many reasons I'd be an interesting study for science.
I really am getting to the fair.
We went twice. Once by night, so as not to miss the dizzying enchantment of lights and the pretty impressive fireworks display. Then once on the last day, because we all love the fair so, and because it's quite the rarity to find something that both boys flip over and are eager to spend time together at. You heard me. That's right.
Evidence below.
It was so very much fun, and the blessing of having something fun and innocent and uplifting so close to home is not lost on us.
