Y'all probably already know that Trey is terrified somewhat timid in regards to change. New people, new foods, slight alterations to his routine. Any of those and more can cause a violent breakdown.
So imagine our shock and joy when he picked out his first new big boy bike, hopped right on, and started riding the aisles of the toy store. Actually rode at home too, after a few pointers from Daddy.

Milestone passed without incident. Someone make a note. Those are few and far between.
Not sure exactly how he did it, but Aden bruised the side of Trey's face about a week ago. Not even close to matching the three bruises and two goose-eggs on Aden's head, compliments of Trey, but it's progress anyway.
I have no update for you on the ch-ch-changes around here. Nothing at all to report except my growing anticipation. Hopefully soon. Here's another clue to get you through.

Mother's Day was beautiful. Time with family, delicious meals, and a precious photo collage from all three of my men. Also a few flowers, proudly on display.

Such a lovely gesture. If only my presence didn't cause slow and painful death to all plant life.
Er, maybe not all. Indoor plant life.
Nope, the outdoor plant life is doing just fine, thanks be to God.

Aden's birthday is a few weeks away, and I'm in party planning mode. Please don't judge me, but we will likely end up getting Aden clothes for his first birthday. Hear me out here.
It's May. The twelve-month clothes from our Trey stash are starting to tug a little on Aden's rounder areas. Our eighteen-month stash consists of one summer-ish play outfit and one summer-ish church outfit. And umpteen dozen fall/winter-ish outfits.
It's May.
And it's looking like we'll need an entire summer 18-month wardrobe, starting in the next few weeks. And an entire 24-month wardrobe this coming fall. And...
OK.
Trying not to be too depressed about not reusing some of Trey's clothes. From both the monetary and sentimental standpoints. Aden is healthy, strong, and solid. Very, very solid.
My attitude is struggling lately. My walk with Christ is struggling lately. My parenting is struggling lately. My budgeting is struggling lately. My organization and cleanliness are struggling lately.
Yes, struggling a bit.
But certainly not ungrateful. Praise the Lord, from whom all blessings flow. Blessings beyond measure. Not the least of which are two amazing guys...
